Raw Food Recipe Really Good Cauliflower Salad
I don't know what to call this salad. It's really good, though. I was inspired by this recipe which I didn't even read, i just looked at the photo. They called it a Tagine which seems to have more to do with the pot it's cooked in. I just used a bowl with a towel over it so the vegetables could "cook" in the citrus juice.
You can improv with the ingredients. I prefer cruciferous and root type vegetables and I happen to have some bean sprouts on hand.
This is what I used:
About 1 cup raw cauliflower cut up small
1 carrot, grated
about 1/2 cup of grated yam
1/2 cup mixed bean sprouts
3-4 cloves garlic, chopped
The juice of 2 oranges and one lime, strained, no pulp.
pinch salt
1 tsp cumin
1 tbs soaked rasins
Mix all together in a large bowl and let it stand.
