I had a head of broccoli that needed eating. So I put it in my smoothie. With bananas. Not so good. But i drank it anyway.
Someone once asked me if I ever made juice that didn't taste good. I can't remember what my answer was but this is what I should have said:
I spent a lot of years drinking alcoholic beverages to get drunk. I drank some nasty tasting shit. I drank stuff that was so bad I puked it right up but kept drinking the stuff. I drank old, stale stuff and stuff with fruitflies in it, I didn't even care.
I figure I can put at least that much effort into drinking blended and juiced veges for my health. Maybe it's a little bitter or the taste is bland or not quite my favorite (broccoli is def not quite my favorite) but it's for my health. Like Night Train wine, i don't drink it for the taste, but unlike Night Train it's for a good cause: Blended smoothies and vegetable juices don't just get me high, they are helping to build my body out of nutritious foods.

Besides, it's usually very delicious. Only once in a great while does my smoothie or juice not taste very good and it's never been so bad that I couldn't drink it.
I was thinking similar things this morning - juicing seems like a lot of effort in the morning but it's better than being in bed all morning with a hangover! Same thing can be said about the cost of it all - people are far less likely to question how much is spent on alcohol!
