After making nut milk or juicing there is always this pulp left. I know it's still good food, it just has some of the juice smashed out of it.
There are a few things that they can be used for, oat pulp can be a soothing facial mask, juiced vege pulp makes a wonderful flavoring for flax crackers and nut pulp is a perfect base for cookies!
Mix together in a big bowl:
about 1.5 cups of almond pulp
2 VERY ripe bananas
about 6 chopped dates
handful of raisins
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp vanilla extract*
put spoonfuls of the mixture onto parchment paper or whatever you use to keep things from oozing through the rack of your dehydrator.
Optionally, you can press an almond in the top of each one as a decoration.
Make rectangle shapes and call them RAW ENERGY BARS!
Dehydrate them over night at 115F
Footnotes:
*VE is not raw and is optional.
