I grew this beautiful flower from the top of a turnip.

 I ate the turnip and put the top in water and a bunch of pretty flowers grew from it. I'm going to try to collect the seeds, any one have any advice about that?

They smell pretty, too.

Here is the turnip top, rooted. It's been in a glass full of water for a few weeks.

Shortly after that photo was taken the plant bolted and then these flowers started blooming all over it.

I like to show photos like this when posed with the question, "what about all the plants you kill?"

• Eating a plant doesn't necessarily kill it.
• Plants do not have a central nervous system and don't feel pain.
• Eating animals isn't necessary, eating plants is necessary for human nutrition.
