About Grapes



Grapes, like wine, are a terrific symbol of fertility, joy, abundance, healing, youthfulness, and vitality, not to mention intoxication. As wine they make us think of the alchemical process of intertwining creative spirit with matter. Wine has been used in the sacred rights of many peoples since ancient times. Wine and grapes represent the presence of Gods and Divine Spirits right here on Earth. A symbol of the Blood of Life and the Blood of Christ, it is both offered as a sacrifice and taken at Holy Communion. It can be offered to many gods, but it is notably sacred to Dionysus, Bacchus, Sura, Siduri, Sesmu, Meditrina and, of course, Pan.
