The boy went to see the new G.I. Joe movie with his grandparents and we set out for the trail.
It keeps getting easier to walk past these signs.

Seriously, there are no people out there and we stay on the gravel road so I am not too worried about it. It's mountain lions I'm really worried about :/
We saw an owl and a coyote tonight and of course, a few deer and scads of squirrels.
Every time I go there I see something else that makes me want to live there.
This historical marker is on the site.

Klamath County's First White Settler. Wendolen Nus occupied this site in 1866-1867. Nus was a civilian casualty at the beginning of the Modoc War.
But there is more to the story than that!
From the Modoc War Dictionary:
Born in France (or possibly Belgium), Wendolen Nus was probably the first settler in the Klamath Valley. The story is that he was falsely accused of horse stealing, convicted, and, after his prison sentence was up, had come to the area to start afresh. His new life didn't last long; he was in Klamath country from 1866 to 1872, when he had a walk-on part in the Modoc War. He was on the east side of Lost River when the fight broke out, and was one of the first casualties.
There is a tractor. It has a shovel and a snow plow. It needs a battery and probably some other stuff.

This is a bizarre river of tires that we found up on the dirt road behind the house.

The moon was big and yellow over the city lights of Klamath Falls

We are meeting with the owner at 5:30 tonight. This will be the first time we DRIVE up to the property.
I'm so nervous I think I'm going to die. We are going with a check so hopefully that will help him make a decision.
Wish us LUCK!

Soooooooooo, what happened when you met with the owner yesterday? Will you be sitting on that front porch soon, taking in the spectacular view?
Been holding good thoughts here on this end.

Don't know yet will update as soon as I have the good word. Keep those thoughts coming, say a prayer, casts a spell, make a wish, do all three!
