Get a nice, big, tortilla shaped and sized, collard leaf and fill it with sliced vegetables, sauerkraut, pickled sweet peppers, some seed cheese and I put a slice of vegan sausage in this one.

Then just fold and eat. You can roll it and tuck in an end to so the fillings don't fall out, or just fold it in half like a taco or eat it with a knife and fork if you don't feel like getting messy.
I always feel like getting messy when it comes to food. I have a huge collection of stained t-shirts that I need to make shopping bags out of.
and no bread necessary!! now, there may be a market for foodie stained t-shirt bags!!!
ReplyDeleteThis looks delicious! I'll have to try it!
ReplyDeleteamazing recipes, did not even know that seed cheese existed - fantastic will try it in the future! And the lettuce leaf wrap is such a great bread replacement and even better than rice papers, thanks!
ReplyDeleteArt, learning to live without bread (which I am not doing now but have done in the past) is an art form of the highest degree, lol :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Maria, it was delicious. The man took a hunk in his lunch today and although I tried, I could not resist having the rest for my lunch.
Nicole! No seed cheese? How can anyone be vegan without seed cheese! So easy, so tasty. It's even acceptable for a RAW lifestyle! It's one of the ways I keep my omnivorous man coming back home for dinner instead of stopping and getting greasy, cheesy fast food.
Cheers!
Would you think less of me if I told you that I'm nearly 30-years old and I occasionally wear a bib during dinner? In my defense, it's actually an artist's smock and I don't own a kitchen table (apartment is too small) and I only do this when I'm alone...but yeah. I'm kind of a mess.
ReplyDeleteNot in the slightest, Rachel. We use cloth napkins here and I sometime have a kitchen towel as a back up. My real goal, as a house keeper, is to have a napkin or towel with in reach anywhere in the house so if something is spilled whisshhh-pewwww! Have a napkin (that was a whip-crack sound by the way) :)
