Another 5 lbs gone. Apparently none of it from my hobbit feet ;P
Eating raw isn't about losing weight. Being vegan isn't about losing weight. Losing weight isn't about losing weight. I don't even like to call it losing weight. I'm releasing a lot of things from my system right now and becoming more balanced. Part of that is settling at my correct and healthiest weight**
That being said, this is my general daily routine at this point in my life:
Every morning I drink a big glass of water with a shot of raw apple cider vinegar in it.* Then when the guys are gone I hang around checking email, reading and commenting on blogs, pop in a load of laundry, load the dishwasher, tidy up etc. Usually I will have a mug of tea. Today I had Tulsi, or holy basil in some warm water.
Then I start juicing. Green juice, I'm off the sugar. No sweet fruits. I packed up my dates and figs and raisins for some other time.
Altars Everywhere

I try to drink 90 oz of juice or more. If I don't dawdle, I can get it done by noon.
That takes care of breakfast and lunch.
Around 2pm I will start getting peckish and thinking about dinner. I make sure there is seed cheese and sauerkraut, make more if I need them, and make a big vegetable salad with plenty of root vegetables. During this time I will eat some crudite, and salsa, maybe some flax crackers and cheese. little munchies, yum yum.
In this cold weather, even though I still eat mostly raw foods, it's nice to have warm soup. I have a huge pot of soup that I keep adding to every day.
I pull it from the fridge in the afternoon and put more water, more veges, a cup of cooked beans, lentils, some sunflower seeds. Whatever I have laying around. E loves cabbage and so do I so it has a lot of cabbage in it.
Every couple of days I will take about half of it, cold, before I put more veges in, and blend it up smooth. Then I put that back in the pot and add more cut up veges. That gives it a thicker, creamier texture without adding any thickening agent.
It's a good soup and a quick dinner with salad or a snack if I get the munchies in the afternoon and don't feel like eating crackers and seed cheese.
I don't put any fat or salt into it, you can fu... er, ah, fix it up however you want in your bowl. The man like cayenne pepper and pickled jalapenos. I generally toss in a wad of my home made sauerkraut, that stuff is plenty salty.
For dinner, it might be soup, might be a casserole, might be some gourmet raw grub that we whipped up. It will include a salad.
I really like the way I'm eating these days. I feel good, I have enough to eat, I never feel deprived in any way and yet I never feel stuffed and heavy, either.
Footnotes
*I think I'm using Bragg's but I get it in bulk from the Nightfire Natural Foods so I'm not sure if it's branded. It is high quality, raw, organic and much less expensive. I bring my own bottle, yay!
**217-160= 57 eeeee!

I think the most important thing is to change some bad habits and have a helthier and more balanced diet. The change of habits is essential, I'm doing it too and the weight loss comes as a (great) result!
That is so right, Glauce! I had a LOT of bad habits. in the past year (since last May) I quit smoking cigarettes, stopped drinking coffee, stopped eating meat, which was the easy part, stopped eating dairy, that was harder, and still is. I just have to keep telling myself it isn't about me. I don't eat dairy because it harms others. I also quit eating any sweet fruit this year, and I think I have finally quit drinking. We shall see.
