Lentil sprouts day one

I am lucky I found this handled jar with a ring at a thrift store, if you don't have canning jar, just use any jar with a wide mouth (mayonaise) and put cloth on the top with a rubber band. I am using a piece of hanky that I cut up but you can use cheese cloth or netting. You can buy sprouting kits, of which I endorse none, I just use jars.

Lentils are fantastic to sprout. They grow fast, need minimal care and almost no space. They like to grow in the dark. They have a mild flavor and are packed with protein.
Look at that sneaky wheat berry that snuck in there somehow...

Eat them plain as a snack, put them in soups and salads and smoothies, vegan and raw entrees and stir fry, dry them and make a flour for various uses, endless possibilities.
